GENERAL SUMMARY The Supplier Engagement Representative will interact with suppliers on strategic and tactical issues, supporting the Supplier Development Managers to drive revenue targets. This individual will enhance supplier relationships and drive revenue growth by flawlessly executing upon supplier processes and initiatives. With a focus on strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with suppliers, the position will ensure optimized supplier relationships to scale business growth. This position is responsible for responding to supplier requests, processing supplier purchase orders, and sending reports to suppliers on time with accurate data. This position supports day-to-day supplier activities to achieve Supplier Development objectives whilst ensuring compliance with supplier contracts. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Responsible for servicing all direct supplier inquiries and requirements for assigned account package, working in conjunction with the Manager, Global Supplier Relationships & Operations and Supplier Development Managers to increase sales of Rochester Electronics products and services to customers in accordance with agreed strategies and business plans. Responds to daily telephone and email inquiries from suppliers regarding requirements that could include product return information, contract pricing support, finance details and inventory checks. Responds to daily telephone and email inquiries from sales regarding requirements that could include price inquiries, stock status, order information and ability to build. Processes inventory receipt requests from suppliers, adhering to best-in-class processes for responding to initial supplier requests, sharing inbound inventory information with others for action and analysis, scrubbing data, creating and managing purchase orders, tracking purchase orders and sharing inventory & information with associated parties (internal and external to REI) to achieve objectives. Owns monthly supplier inventory reporting while demonstrating accuracy of reporting and ownership of the process. Summarizes key metrics to support content to be used at supplier quarterly business reviews and may participate as required. Ensures supplier interactions are professional, clear and enhance supplier relationships. Builds a strategy with the SDM (Supplier Development Managers) partner to grow supplier relationships with the goal of driving revenue growth and attaining company goals. Manage supplier quote requests. OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Travel 5-10% possible. Performs additional duties, as assigned. PREPARATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES Associate degree (or equivalent) required. A minimum of 2 years’ experience within sales/account management, purchasing, or similar role. Microsoft Office skills: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (Fully versant in Excel including V-Look Ups & Pivot Tables is an essential requirement). Salesforce CMS experience preferred. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Effective in explaining concepts and situations to co-workers, business partners and customers of differing languages and cultures. Strong interpersonal, leadership, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Strong project management skills, including the ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities. Capable of building successful relationships to support and influence colleagues, partners, suppliers, and members of the global team.
