People who enjoy finding new ways to solve problems and get things done We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Estimator to join our innovative alliance with Anglian Water, as we embark on the AMP8 five-year investment cycle with Anglian Water. This is a unique chance to be involved in one of the UK's largest main-laying programmes. The Role: As an Estimator you will play a vital part of the Central Commercial Team. Here are just some of the activities that you’ll get involved with… Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to define and assess project scope and risk, updating cost estimates from design to delivery. Work closely with Alliance partners, contractors, subcontractors, and vendors to develop specific estimates Regularly monitor and enhance estimation tools and processes to improve efficiency and maintain high standards. Identify and address discrepancies between market quotations and cost libraries. Maintain high level of record keeping and clarity of all estimates for audit & review and supporting the project team through affordability challenges via the agreed contractual process. We would love to hear from you if you can demonstrate… Two years of experience as an Estimator or an Engineer or Quantity Surveyor with relevant expertise. Ideally you should have a degree in Engineering or Quantity Surveying, or equivalent experience in estimating, particularly within infrastructure or utilities. Strong motivational, analytical, and communication skills are essential, along with proficiency in estimating software. The role involves working independently in a hybrid environment across the Anglian Water region, using Copperleaf C55 and MS Excel to ensure estimates reflect the latest project information. The ability to clearly conveying technical details to non-technical stakeholders is desirable as is being committed to continuous personal development.
