A Gymnastics Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the leisure centre, ensuring the health and safety of staff and customers, and guaranteeing the highest standards of service. This includes the allocation of and supervision of staff to enable the smooth operation of the facility.
The delivery of high-quality gymnastics lessons and courses and social gymnastics activities.
The Lead Gymnastics Coach is responsible to the General Manager or Line Manager.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities
* Responsible for opening and closing of the facility (responsible key holder).
* Ensuring the facility is prepared for use in accordance with the planned programme.
* Ensuring that all areas of the facility are maintained to the highest possible standards of safety, cleanliness, security and operational effectiveness and efficiency.
* Providing visible leadership to facility staff, ensuring they are motivated and operate at high levels of both performance and efficiency.
* Maintaining a clear customer focus and high visibility within the centre, proactively developing and maintaining high standards of customer care.
* Teach high quality gymnastics at a variety of levels.
* Deliver lessons that are safe, fun and progressive.
* Safe coaching and supporting skills.
* Complete registers and assessments of participants using handheld devices.
* Completing or assisting with equipment set ups / set down.
* Completing or assisting with warm-ups and cool downs.
* Assisting with the assessment process (award scheme and skills matrix).
* Providing parental feedback where required.
Other
* To administer First Aid as required.
* Act in accordance with and actively promote all GLL policies and standards.
* Undertake any other duties commensurate with the post’s level of responsibility or required particularly because of events outside of GLL’s business control (pandemics etc).
* Work flexibly in line with the needs of the business at peak flow times, evenings and weekends.
* Deliver critical incident management as and when required.
Key Working Relationships
* National Sport Manager.
* General Manager, Service Manager and/or Lead Coach and Head coach.
* British Gymnastics.
* To constructively interact with different people in a variety of areas within the operational team and GLL support services.
* Build good working relationships with all GLL colleagues, working both proactively and collaboratively.
* Build positive and progressive relationships with local authority partners as required.
