Garment Tech Admin Assistant
Based: Trafford Park, Manchester

South Beach/Continental Textiles have a new opportunity for a Garment Tech Admin Assistant to join our team.
As a Garment Tech Admin Assistant, you will be working closely with the Garment Tech team to ensure products meet our customer requirements for fit and quality, covering multi-product categories, including Swimwear, Nightwear, Activewear, Menswear, and Accessories.
Alongside this, you will also have the opportunity to work closely with other departments including Design, Buying, Marketing, and Shipping.
The Role:
1. Working closely with our Technical Team to provide support with data entry and general administrative duties.
2. Daily communication with our factories in the Far East.
3. Training in measuring samples in preparation for fitting, from 1st Fit through to Production samples.
4. Attending fit sessions, taking accurate notes, and uploading images into the workbook to aid the garment tech team.
5. Creating and regularly maintaining Critical Paths.
6. Following the Critical Path, chasing and logging samples and packages from the suppliers.
7. Assisting in the approval of labelling.
8. Carrying out duties in other departments as required.
9. Assisting in the analysis of returns information.
10. Maintaining an organised environment, ensuring items are stored in the correct area.
11. Assisting in communicating test report requirements and approving test reports to ensure quality standards are met.
12. Additional duties including answering incoming calls, data entry, and sample room management.
Skills Required:
1. Able to demonstrate high levels of accuracy and be detail-oriented.
2. Ideally hold a degree in a similar field or have relevant experience.
3. Able to prioritise tasks and effectively manage your own time.
4. Proficient in Microsoft packages, especially Excel.
5. Enthusiasm to learn and develop.
6. Basic knowledge of pattern cutting/garment construction.
7. Knowledge of fabric/garment testing is advantageous.
