About the role:
As a Polisher, youll be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the aesthetic appeal of The Chancery Rosewood through expert French Polishing and decorative techniques. This role ensures that guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces are visually appealing, aligning with the hotel standards and those of the Rosewood Hotels and Resorts Company. Being a Polisher, you will work on a variety of projects, including surface preparation, application, colour matching, and finishing techniques. The Polisher position reports into the Engineering Supervisor.
As a Polisher, You Will Bring:
* A strong knowledge of various painting and decorating techniques and materials.
* An excellent ability to work independently and efficiently, delivering high-quality results.
* An excellent level of attention to detail and commitment to achieving professional standards.
* An ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with other hotel staff.
A day in the life of:
* Delivering a proactive service to guests and associates alike on the designated shift, including night shifts and weekends.
* Carrying out Planned Preventative Maintenance activities in accordance with the company and departmental standards to all areas of the hotel. This will include guest bedrooms, public areas, and all main plant /machinery.
* Protecting the assets of the hotel and company, including any items of uniform and company tools issued.
* Providing a fast, professional and reactive response to breakdown calls of a guest request and emergencies.
