Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an MRI Clinical Lead role, to support the Deputy Principal and Principal MRI Radiographers. You will have an extensive knowledge of MRI Imaging, ideally a post graduate qualification and experience of working at a senior level within your clinical specialty.
Based within the MRI Imaging department, the role is to work alongside the Principal and Deputy Principal Radiographer to lead and develop the MRI Imaging service, deliver training, and deputise in the absence of the Principal and Deputy Principal Radiographer.
The successful candidate will need to produce evidence of graduate qualification and have a proven track record in clinical leadership, problem solving and decision-making skills.
Main duties of the job
On the Warrington site, we have two Siemens Sola back to back MRI scanners, On the Captain Sir Tom Moore site we have one Philips Ingenia 3T MRI scanner, this will be next to another new Siemens Sola MRI opening in 2025 with shared control room.
This role is an exceptional opportunity for a committed professional with excellent interpersonal skills to work alongside the MRI Principal Radiographer, MRI Deputy Principal and the Cross Sectional Team to deliver high quality Imaging service, while further developing their managerial experience in a supportive environment within a forward-thinking Trust. They will have a proven track record on problem solving and experience of day to day operationally running an area.
The MRI Clinical Lead will be the lead practitioner in justifying and prioritising requests including decisions regarding further imaging and the appropriate administration of contrast media during examinations. They will also beresponsible for the clinical development of the service to include department workflow, staff training, protocol optimisation with reference to both regional and national updates.
