Reporting into the Regional Delivery Manager. The ideal candidate will have experience of the Installation of Broadband/Telecoms services into both Domestic & Business premises. This includes blown Fibre (FTTP) and Copper Cable TV networks (HFC). This position requires a high degree of self-motivation, organisation and supervision skills. A proven background in the Telecoms market is essential. Responsibilities You will be responsible for the management of the Pre-Enablement team across South and South West London along with ensuring performance and productivity of engineers carrying out day to dayworks. Working closely with the clients to deliver compliance that meet their requirements. Applicants must have planning, logistics, man management and productivity controls and you must have a good awareness of Health & Safety and Quality Assurance Procedures. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: · Daily Supervision of staff. · Monitor the delivery and performance of work orders in line with contract SLA’s and VM quality standards. · Ensure productivity is maintained to a high level. · Attend regular meetings with client’s representatives. · Onsite supervision/Coaching · Deal with day to day issues and problem solving on all activities. · Liaise with the local authorities when necessary (ensure appropriate notices etc.) · Ensure the whereabouts of staff, tracking them with progress reports · Comply with Health & Safety and environmental policies · Responsible to ensure van audits, onsite audits and carried out. Deal with tool box talks. PERSONSPECIFICATION · Effective Leadership and communication skills. · Self-motivated, able to motivate others effectively · Good Managerial skills · Results orientated · Awareness of Customer Satisfaction. · Full UK Driving Licence Essential. JOB KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS REQUIRED Strong skills in client management, planning, logistics, resource management and commercial controls. Minimum three years’ experience working within the telecommunications industry preferably with Virgin Media’s network experience, to include cabling and Civil activities Good working Knowledge of work management systems and windows packages-(XP/Excel/Word) Financial awareness Good awareness of Health & Safety and Quality Assurance Procedures, New Roads and Street Works Act 1991, Construction Design Management Regulations and Section 74 Regulations.
