The post holder will be responsible for leading, managing and developing a team of manufacturing engineers responsible for the design, development, validation and on-going support of the TAS production system to ensure the system produces product that consistently fulfils technical, quality and cost requirements while operating at the customer demand rate and ensuring health, safety and environmental requirements are adhered to. Minimum 3 years' experience managing a team Understanding of industry best practice in manufacturing and/or assembly processes. Strong working knowledge of process design, process planning and lean manufacturing techniques Awareness of the effective application of process design and planning tools such as PLM, MOM/MES and MRP Experience of New Product Introduction, reworking design changes and upgrades through to production Manufacturing/Mechanical/Aeronautical Engineering degree Understanding manufacturing processes and lean manufacturing Desirable Membership of an industry related professional body We reserve the right to enhance criteria on shortlisting.
