Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant
Location: England, Greater London, Wandsworth
Job Type: Contract, Full-Time hours 8:30- 16:00

Job Duties:
1. Supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in the classroom
2. Assisting the class teacher in planning and delivering tailored educational activities
3. Providing one-to-one support to students who require additional help for students with physical disabilities
4. Helping to create a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students
5. Collaborating with other staff members and ensuring engagement of non-verbal students
Required Qualifications:
1. Recognised Teaching Assistant qualification
2. Enhanced DBS check
3. Knowledge of special educational needs and disabilities
Education:
1. Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths
Experience:
1. Previous experience working with students with SEND (Personal experience)
2. Experience in a classroom setting
Knowledge and Skills:
1. Understanding of different learning needs and how to support them
2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
3. Ability to work effectively as part of a team
4. Patience and empathy towards students with SEND
Preferred Qualifications:
1. First Aid certification
2. Training in behaviour management techniques
3. Health and Social Care
4. Cache level 3
5. Manual handling
