Job Purpose
As a Care Assistant at Baal-Perazim Care Services Ltd, you will play a crucial role in our mission to provide high-quality, person-centered care that enhances the well-being and independence of our clients. You will provide essential care and support to clients in their homes, promoting their independence and ensuring their needs are met with dignity and respect.
Responsibilities
* Provide personal care, including washing, dressing, and toileting assistance.
* Support clients with mobility and transfers while ensuring safety.
* Assist with meal preparation and feeding where required.
* Administer or prompt medication as per client care plan.
* Offer companionship and emotional support to clients.
* Carry out light household tasks to maintain a clean and comfortable environment.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date care records.
* Follow care plans and report any changes in a client’s condition to the appropriate team members.
* Adhere to health and safety protocols and infection control measures.
* Work collaboratively with other care professionals, families, and support networks.
* Must be a driver with access to a car.
* A minimum of one year’s experience in care-at-home within the UK.
* Right to work in the UK.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Compassionate, patient, and committed to delivering high-quality care.
* Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends.
* Understanding of safeguarding, dignity in care, and person-centred approaches.
* SVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards this qualification).
* Experience with eMAR (electronic medication administration records) systems.
* Knowledge of Scottish regulatory requirements for care at home.
