This role will be responsible for the planning, implementation and analysis of highly audience-focused and data-led promotional campaigns across the 5 Streaming platform as part of the Media Planning department within the TV Media team at Paramount UK.

About the team
Media Planning’s role is to manage Paramount UK’s owned and operated promotional inventory airtime to speak to audiences in the most effective and targeted way possible, across all channels and platforms. The department works closely with our Programming, Scheduling, Marketing, Creative, Research and Growth teams to drive viewing and revenue, showcase our breadth of content and strengthen brand perception.
Responsibilities:
1. Working with the Programming, Editorial and Marketing teams for 5 Streaming to define an on-platform, data-led promotional strategy to support how we communicate the evolution of how our customers consume our content.
2. This role will be responsible for the holistic planning, implementation, and analysis of highly audience-focused and data-led promotional campaigns on 5 Streaming designed to drive viewing and retain customers.
3. Quantify the typical monthly promotional inventory to enable forecasting to inform optimum number of campaigns and priority weights of the 5 Streaming’s promotional airtime.
4. Work closely with the Programming, Editorial and Marketing teams for 5 Streaming to ensure a high level of understanding of the editorial and operational strategy for the service.
5. Work closely with the Promo Ops team to ensure break junction templates are fit for purpose across 5 Streaming to maximize promotional messaging opportunities as well as fulfil commercial imperatives.
6. Work closely with the 5 Streaming Marketing and Research teams to inform the targeting of all promotional messages.
7. Working closely with the Promo Ops team to ensure each campaign is fully set up with clear targeting within the requisite timeframe.
8. Working with the 5 Streaming Marketing & Creative teams, create monthly promotional campaign makelists, detailing time-length and versioning requirements.
9. Identifying cross-promotional opportunities across all Paramount UK O&O channels and platforms spanning from full campaigns through to navigational and on screen GFX to drive viewing.
10. Working with the Streaming data team, ensure all campaigns have specific metric targets assigned.
11. Develop a strong working relationship with the Growth and Lifecycle Marketing team to ensure alignment on prioritization and strategic objectives.
12. Conduct in depth post campaign evaluations to gather learnings and ensure future best practice.
13. Work with the relevant commercial teams for the service to understand the commercial operation and inventory management.
14. Keep an active eye on competitor activity and any development or trends in the global BVOD, AVOD and SVOD industry.
What skills you need:
1. We’re looking for someone who is data driven, insight led and a creative thinker.
2. Media planning experience in a VOD environment, preferably Broadcast VOD but not essential.
3. Knowledge of or experience in working in a VOD environment, understanding the editorial, operational, and commercial demands.
4. Proven knowledge of BARB and media analysis tools (Infosys/Techedge) and techniques to conduct research.
5. Excellent communication is essential.
6. Ability and flexibility to adapt to changes in schedules and delivery.
7. Experience in developing new systems and processes.
8. Outstanding eye for detail, numeracy, and organisational skills.
9. Team player with ‘can do’ attitude.
