Working in our UK support functions you’ll play a key part in helping our customer facing colleagues deliver exceptional standards of customer service and patient care. The primary purpose of the Credit Control Advisor role is to manage a dedicated portfolio of clients. This involves ensuring effective credit control and account reconciliation, collecting payments promptly, and initiating appropriate actions in response to non-payment of subscriptions.
How you’ll help us make health happen
1. Manage Correspondence: Handle all forms of communication, including emails, telephone inquiries, and letters from customers and internal Bupa departments, with professionalism and efficiency.
2. Deliver Consistent Service: Provide reliable service and administrative support to both internal and external customers, meticulously documenting all interactions in the billing system.
3. Accountable Debt Collection: Take ownership of both overall and individual debt positions, focusing on prompt collection of all assigned group/customer debts, especially overdue accounts.
4. Achieve Targets: Consistently meet departmental and individual performance targets, contributing to the overall success of the credit control function.
5. Handle Complaints: Log group/customer complaints diligently and escalate them following FCA/FOS guidelines, ensuring appropriate escalations to the Credit Control Team Leader/Manager.
Key skills/Qualifications required for this role
1. Proficiency in Excel with a keen eye for analytics and numbers.
2. Previous experience in a Credit Control environment is essential.
3. Ability to quickly learn and adapt, anticipating and responding to customer needs while adhering to Bupa guidelines.
4. Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise workload effectively.
5. Ability to work independently and take initiative.
6. Comfortable communicating with individuals at all levels.
7. Demonstrate sound business reasoning and well-developed analytical skills when making real-time decisions, while showing empathy towards customers.
