Location: This role can be based out of our Edinburgh, Wythall, Telford or London office with time spent working in the office and at home - hybrid.

The role
The Head of Regulatory Relationships will lead a small team responsible for building strong relationships with our regulators. This role will be pivotal to nurturing high levels of trust and sustaining confidence in our strategy and business goals. By driving a dynamic engagement strategy, this role will help our Board members and Management navigate the expectations of our regulators in a pragmatic way.
The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader in a senior position who is familiar with Board exposure and a skilled communicator. They will have a passion for fostering collaboration, influencing positive change, and driving excellence across all levels of the organisation.

* Knowledgeable in life and pensions and adept at navigating the prudential and conduct regulations governing the sector.
* A senior leader who is familiar with Board exposure, willing to take the initiative and not afraid to make tough calls.
* Ability to cut through high pressured situations and complex issues in a calm and measured way to drive the right outcome.
* High impact influencer who is resilient and can skilfully balance humility and assertiveness to reach common ground.
* Thrive on change, can deliver in a fast-moving environment and has a strong willingness to continually learn, adapt, and grow.
What are we looking for?
* Direct and regular exposure to regulators like PRA, FCA, CBI, tPR; or has led on initiatives requiring regulator engagement.
* Played a key role in risk-aware decision making either from a leadership role in the business or in line 2.
* Operated in a senior role requiring practical application of internal and external key risk indicators to inform decision making.
* Led or actively involved in enterprise-wide projects/initiatives that cut across multiple financial and non-financial disciplines.
* Direct exposure to Board, Executives and Directors and adept at written and verbal communication at this level.
