Head of Sales – Expanding Technology Services Company – Hertfordshire – £Competitive + great benfits
Our client is a successful and rapidly expanding IT and Technology Services company with a growing presence across the south of England. They have ambitious plans for continued growth are now looking for an experienced Head of Sales to join their team in southern Hertfordshire.
Reporting to the Sales Director, the successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional understanding of the latest IT, Security and Cloud technology, and the ability to identify and close sales opportunities and execute sales strategies. Leading a small, highly effective team, you will need to develop strong relationships with new and existing customers, identify areas of growth, and deliver innovative and tangible technical solutions. This is a hands-on, solution sales role, for an experienced Head of IT Sales, ready to roll up their sleeves and support the team to win and close new sales opportunities.
The role:
* Work with the Sales Director and Leadership Team to drive sales and support the business’ overall growth strategy
* Work with the Sales Director, Commercial Manager, Solutions Specialist and Account Managers to exceed annual sales targets
* Supervise the sales team, with regular reporting on performance against targets
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders
* Prepare customer proposals and ensure effective bid management
* Collaborate and communicate effectively with internal teams to develop and deliver custom solutions to meet clients' needs
* Monitor and report on sales metrics to measure success and identify areas for improvement
* Employ sound commercial acumen across all sales activities
Skills and experience required:
* Minimum 5 years of experience as an IT Sales Leader, ideally in security and cloud, and with excellent knowledge of M365, Azure, networking, and data management
* Strong customer focus, able to develop and maintain productive internal and external customer relationships
* Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Creative, innovative, with impeccable problem-solving and decision-making abilities
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, highly complex and dynamic environment
