Role Overview: As a Behaviour Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing tailored support to students who require additional assistance in managing their behaviour. You will work closely with the school's SENCO, teachers, and other support staff to implement strategies and interventions that promote positive behaviour and create a supportive learning environment for all students. Key Responsibilities: · Build positive relationships with students, offering guidance, encouragement, and support. · Implement behaviour management strategies and interventions as outlined in individual behaviour plans. · Work one-on-one or in small groups with students to address specific behavioural challenges. · Collaborate with teachers and support staff to develop and implement individualised support plans. Qualifications and Skills: · Previous experience working with children or young people with challenging behaviour is highly desirable. · Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and establish positive relationships. · Patience, empathy, and a non-judgmental approach to supporting students with diverse needs. · Relevant qualifications or training in behaviour management or special education are advantageous but not essential.
