An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Digital Health Records team for a full-time team lead post.
To provide team leadership within the Digital Health Records department, ensuring efficient service throughout the Trust in both paper and digital records. Responsibilities include prioritizing duties to meet the changing demands of the Trust, ensuring that records are available, prepared, and correctly formatted, and performing daily quality checks on digital records.
Main Duties of the Job
* Provide day-to-day leadership and allocate workload within the Digital Health Records team, including incoming referrals and deceased patients.
* Regularly review practices and introduce necessary changes to improve performance and provide an effective service.
* Manage the provision of skinny files for outpatient clinics.
* Produce daily lists for outpatient clinics.
* Oversee the collection of skinny files and paper records from clinics/wards daily.
* Carry out maintenance and cleaning of high-specification document scanners.
* Deal with routine queries concerning all aspects of case note and digital records.
Job Responsibilities
* Ensure subject access requests (SAR) are processed and copies sent to solicitors/patients within relevant timescales.
* Monitor recording of death notices to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
* Coordinate the training of new staff, providing both initial and refresher training.
* Work closely with Digital Health Records Supervisors and other team leaders to support each other in completing all duties.
* Ensure daily quality checks are performed on digital records.
Person Specification
Education
* Qualified to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent training and experience in a similar role
* 5 A-C Grades at GCSE or equivalent
* Medical terminology knowledge
* NVQ in business & administration
Experience
* Experience in leading a team
* Previous experience in working in the NHS
* Experience in MS Office applications
* Experience in administrative manual handling processes
Knowledge
* Understanding of the Data Protection Act and its relation to patient confidentiality and subject access requests
* Ability to lead, train, and motivate others
* A good standard of written and spoken English is required to perform relevant duties
* Information Governance experience
