Site Equip is the South’s leading supplier of portable welfare facilities, operating within event and construction industries, supplying major events such as; Glastonbury, RIAT, Brighton Pride, and Royal Ascot and long-term contracts with London Fire Brigade and the Ministry of Defence, as well as numerous small to medium size construction companies.
This role would suit a career-focused individual who is ready to take the next step in their financial management journey.
You will support the Finance Manager and Finance Director with day-to-day accounting activities and assist the wider team as necessary.
You will report to the Finance Manager with a dotted line to the Finance Director.
This role is office-based for 5 days a week.
The Role
* Overseeing the transactional processes
* Maintain accurate and timely accounting records to Trial Balance level
* Prepare bank payment runs
* Perform bank reconciliations
* Assist with cashflow forecast
* Maintain accruals, prepayments and other provisions
* Complete end-of-month journals incl payroll
* Balance sheet reconciliations
* VAT reconciliation, return and submission
* Assist with the production of timely and accurate monthly management accounts incl variance analysis
* Assist with the annual budget preparation
* Supporting Accounts Assistants with training and development
* Ad Hoc management analysis and reporting
* Other relevant duties as required
Experience and Expertise
* Previous experience in an all-round accounting role (sales and purchase ledger and payroll)
* Good understanding of double-entry bookkeeping
* Strong numerical and data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
* Excellent time management, multi-tasking and workload prioritisation skills
* Confident user of Excel and advance formulae (pivot tables, lookups, sumif(s))
* Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented approach
* A self-starter who works well within a team
* Strong communication and relationship building skills
