AS OCU continues on a journey of substantial growth, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to come and join us based in Taunton Duties and Responsibilities: - Develop project plans and schedules. - Coordinate and supervise construction activities. - Ensure compliance with project specifications and regulations. - Monitor project progress and make adjustments as needed. - Manage site personnel, including subcontractors and labourers. - Assign tasks and responsibilities. - Ensure proper communication between all parties involved in the project. - Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments. - Ensure all workers adhere to safety protocols. - Ensure the work meets the required quality standards. - Conduct regular inspections and audits. - Address any issues or defects that arise. - Monitor project costs and expenditures. - Manage project budgets and forecasts. - Maintain regular communication with clients and stakeholders. - Provide updates on project status. - Address any concerns or issues raised by clients or stakeholders. - Prepare and submit reports to senior management and clients. - Ensure all project documentation is up to date and compliant with regulations. Skills & Experience: - Experience within Construction / Utilities - Previous experience within a similar role - Excellent verbal and written communication skills to liaise effectively with project stakeholders, subcontractors, suppliers, and team members. - Strong Health & Safety background - Strong experience within planning, site management and budget control Company Background: Established in 1994, OCU Group is one of the fastest growing utility engineering contractors in the UK, with a long successful track record in delivering customer-focused civil engineering solutions.
