As our current Practice Manager steps into a new role, we are looking for a forward-thinking and highly motivated Practice Manager to join our practice. Main duties of the job
About the role:
With direction provided by the Partners and support from a strong management support team, the Practice Manager will provide leadership and management to enable the Practice to meet its agreed aims and objectives within a profitable, efficient, safe and effective working environment which meets all its obligations to patients. This includes support for the CQC Registered Manager and ensuring compliance with the outcomes of the Health & Social Care Act 2008. Responsibilities to include strategic management and planning, financial management, HR management, operational management, overseeing patient services, information management, CQC support and planning, facilities and health and safety management.

Our main surgery is in the heart of Combe Down village on a leafy avenue, just a short walk from the charming Darling Deli - perfect for your morning coffee. We also operate a second site at Odd Down in the South of Bath, which offers lots of available parking. We are an established practice with an excellent reputation with patients and colleagues. Our friendly team consists of around 60 doctors, nurses, paramedics, pharmacists, managers and administrators caring for our nearly 14,000 patients.
Key Information:
Position: We seek a highly motivated Practice Manager eager to join our friendly, cohesive team.
Hours: 30 - 37.5 per week, over 4-5 days.
Leave: 6 weeks of annual leave, plus pro-rata share of bank holidays and a day off for your birthday.
Salary: £48,000 - £55,000, pro rata if part time, depending on experience.
Person Specification
Qualifications Essential:
* The ideal candidate will have excellent finance and management skills, an attention to detail with strong quality management skills, effective problem-solving skills and the ability to lead and inspire.
* Prior experience of GP practice management is preferred but not essential for the right motivated individual.
* Excellent communication skills are essential.
* Highly motivated with excellent interpersonal and management skills.
* Possessing strong business acumen, forward thinking with the confidence to challenge and innovate.
* Able to plan well, be organised and approachable, with the ability to work under tight deadlines.
* Educated to degree level in healthcare, business, finance or management.
