Job Description: As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of high-end domestic construction projects. You will be responsible for managing costs, ensuring projects are completed within budget, and providing expert advice to the project team. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and manage cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports for high-end residential construction projects. Conduct detailed site measurements and valuations, assessing progress and reporting to clients. Monitor project costs and ensure accurate reporting on financial status. Prepare tender documents, assist in procurement, and evaluate contractor quotes. Negotiate contracts and variations with clients and subcontractors. Liaise with the project team, architects, and contractors to ensure cost-effective solutions. Advise on the financial and legal aspects of contracts, helping mitigate any risks. Ensure compliance with regulations and health & safety standards. Assist in the management of project cash flow and prepare final accounts. Foster strong relationships with clients, contractors, and suppliers. Requirements: A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry, with a strong focus on high-end domestic properties. Experience in cost management, tendering, and contract administration. A strong understanding of construction contracts, budgeting, and financial management. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work to deadlines. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Proficiency in industry-standard software (e.g., Microsoft Excel, CostX, BuildSoft, etc.). Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate reports. A degree or relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying (preferred, but not essential). Desirable: MRICS accreditation (or working towards it).
