We have 1 permanent vacancy within manufacturing working on a dayshift basis. The Work Permit Coordinator role is the first point of contact for coordination and execution of all Work Permit related activities in the area.

Your key responsibilities
1. Execution: assist, approving and issuing RAPTW, Work at Height, Hot Work and Confined Space Entry permits via Permit Cliq.
2. Participating in the permit planning process for maintenance and project activities.
3. Co-ordinating the execution of all preparatory work by operations (e.g. LOTOTO and LEO), required for efficient and safe handover of the installation to maintenance or projects.
4. Ownership of padlocks, spades, gas monitors and other equipment required as part of the permit to work in line with site SOPs
5. Set high standards in Safety Culture & Housekeeping: Directing and coaching staff and contractors on safe working practices related to permitted work.
6. Subject matter expert for LSR’s relating to permitted tasks.
7. Championing compliance with site procedures relating to all permitted activities.
8. Doing regular field visits, audits and spot checks
9. Execute and assist with preparations for planned maintenance outages.
10. Completing and supporting with the preparation and approvals of isolation check sheets, LEO forms and supporting documents.
11. Ensuring an effective permit hand back process is maintained.
12. Ensuring permit documentation standards are upheld.
13. Co-ordinating safeguarding of plant in preparation for permitted work
14. Field checks on permitted activities during the work to ensure mitigation actions in place as defined by DSM standards
15. Improving the permit to work flow to enhance safety and efficiencies
16. Ownership for the permit cliq system, housekeeping, data analysis and KPI tracking etc.
17. Support Coaching, Mentoring of new/existing Ops personnel

You bring
Successful candidates will have a minimum of 5 years relevant industrial supervisory experience. An HND or equivalent in a relevant subject would be desirable for this position. A proven track record in permit issuing and working with a safety mindset is necessary. Candidates must also demonstrate leadership, team work, good communication skills, planning and organising.
