About the Role:
Here at Maidstone Borough Council, we are expanding our Housing Management service, who oversee our accommodation across the borough, including supporting the provision of the Private Rented Sector housing portfolio.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Private Rented Sector Assistant to join our busy PRS Housing Team, on a part-time basis working 18.5 hours per week, with the scope for agile working under the Council’s new agile working arrangements, dependant on the needs of service.
This role will provide effective operational and administration support to the Private Rented Sector team. The role will support the team in the day to day running of the portfolio, including assisting with the move in / vacating process, tenancy renewals and rent reviews, assist with routine property inspections and liaising with contractors for repairs, and being a point of contact for tenants and contractors.
The ability to provide a first-class service to tenant and contractors, but also to be able to be assertive at times.
To work effectively within a team to ensure the highest possible standard of service to customers, colleagues, and stakeholders alike.
Over the next five years we are looking to expand our Private Rented Sector portfolio so this post will be an integral part of the team developing that growth.
About You:
You will be educated to GCSE level or equivalent, include English and Mathematics at Grade C/4 or above and have experience in a similar role. You will have excellent communication and administration skills, and a practical understanding of private rented sector housing management and processes. You will also have a full driving licence, with the ability to attend properties when required.
