As a consequence of continued growth, they are looking to bring in a Finance Manager to work closely with the Finance Director to support the ongoing development of a small finance function.What really stands out about this role is the clear succession planning in place. We are looking for someone who is eager to step into a Financial Controller role within a 12–18-month time frame to compliment to the continued growth the business is enjoying.The post holder will take day to day responsibility of the small finance team, supporting the maturity of systems and controls, whilst managing the development of junior staff. The role will encompass all areas of an SME finance function and create an excellent platform for someone to develop a well-rounded CV in a fast paced environment. Location: South Manchester (4 days in the office) Responsibilities Manage and develop a team of two Finance Assistants. Oversee the financial reporting, analysis, and financial planning. Oversee the timely processing of AP and AR activities. Take ownership over quarterly VAT returns. Balance Sheet reconciliations for all group companies. Conduct monthly financial analysis to identify opportunity and margin improvement. Prepare the monthly P&L reporting. Review payment runs. Review payroll.
