Role Summary
As the Operations Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of the Agri-Lloyd Leominster office and production facility, ensuring all tasks are executed to the highest standards with integrity.
Key Responsibilities
1. Team Management: Supervise the Agricultural Business Advisor (ABA) and Warehouse Operatives to ensure promises are delivered to field sales colleagues and customers.
2. Accounting Oversight: Manage the Accounts Assistant and Credit Controller, overseeing purchase ledger, sales ledger, credit control, bank accounts, and account reconciliation.
3. Expense Management: Handle employee expense claims, commissions, and bonuses.
4. VAT Compliance: Ensure all aspects of VAT are managed effectively.
5. Production Monitoring: Adjust production schedules as needed and follow HSE guidance, ensuring PPE and safety requirements are met.
6. Staff Motivation: Manage and motivate staff, addressing personal issues, maintaining accurate records, and adhering to procedures.
7. Continuous Improvement: Develop and implement continuous improvement programs.
8. Quality Assurance: Collaborate with the Quality Manager to maintain quality standards, conduct testing and inspections, and identify raw material failures.
9. Training: Train new staff according to company procedures.
10. Supplier Relations: Manage key relationships with suppliers.
11. Premises Management: Ensure insurance coverage and maintain a safe, tidy working environment.
Occasional Duties
1. Present training courses as required.
2. Attend staff meetings, potentially involving travel to other sites.
3. Perform additional duties as requested.
4. Work additional hours occasionally to meet business needs.
