Our client is seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to focus on supporting students with special educational needs. Key responsibilities * Support students with special educational needs in their academic and social development * Work closely with teachers to deliver tailored learning strategies * Assist in implementing Indiviualised Educations Plans and adapting learning materials * Promote positive relationships with students, encouraging engagement and confidence * Promote inclusive practices in the classroom and school community * Monitor and report on student progress and well being Essential Skills and Qualifications: * Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, particularly in SEN settings * Strong understanding of special education needs and inclusive education * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to adapt and be flexible in dynamic classroom environments * NVQ Level 2 or equivalent Desirable: * Specialised training in SEN support techniques eg Autism Awareness, Makaton or similar * Patience, empathy and a genuine comnmitment to making a difference in students lives * A proactive and collaborative approach to teamwork Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people is essential therefore all successful candidates will be required to undergo reference and DBS checks
