Job Advert Role Description
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Provide line management supervision, support and direction to the identified teams of staff. Acts as a role model providing expertise and guidance whilst managing performance and supporting professional development. Provides all line management functions to team in line with Priory policy framework.
2. Develops, manages and maintains information and data systems complying with policy and procedures and ensuring all deadlines are met. Produces regular and ad hoc management information and reports ensuring these meet regulatory, statutory and compliance requirements. Is aware of time sensitive tasks and provides oversight of these.
3. Provide oversight of the inbox shared by medical secretaries to ensure clinical documentation is uploaded in a timely manner and documents are confirmed.
4. Provide effective communication structures within team, using meetings, 1:1 discussions and email as indicated.
5. Provide backfill into the role of medical secretary and receptionist as the service requires in order to maintain the smooth running of the service.
6. Act as a point of contact for visiting consultants, employed consultants and the Medical Director to ensure the smooth running of the service.
7. To oversee billing for visiting consultant activity (excluding therapy referrals), room bookings and medical secretary hours.
Knowledge and Experience:
1. Experience of providing line management supervision to a team of staff.
2. Is able and confident in communicating verbally and in written form in order to execute the duties of the role.
3. Knowledge and understanding of a range of clinical IT systems which are relevant to Priory Hospital Altrincham, either as direct experience or transferrable skills.
