Job Details Communications Strategist We are looking for an individual or agency who can help us create a coherent communications strategy to contribute to our 5 year business plan from 2027 – 2031. We’re looking for people who understand how to connect with the general public and in particular those who might not think arts and culture is for them. You will have: ● Experience at a senior level of developing and implementing effective communication strategies for creative organisations ● An understanding of the cultural ecology in the UK in relation to communications ● An understanding of how to connect with people whose voices are seldom heard and do not regularly engage with arts and culture for whatever reason ● An up to date understanding of the complexities of communications in the arts and more generally in the UK at this point in time ● An entrepreneurial and flexible approach to communications ● An understanding of the financial context a small arts charity has to work within in terms of communications budgets and staff resource ● A hands-on approach to working in a team ● People who want to engage in the work we are doing and can be present in Crawley occasionally ● People are willing to mentor the senior team (and others) at Creative Crawley as part of this process ● Someone who likes to have a laugh and is serious about connecting with the general public Fee: A fixed fee of £7500 (inclusive of VAT) is available for this contract.
