We are seeking a motivated and committed Attendance Officer to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis. The ideal candidate will be passionate about supporting students to achieve their full potential, both academically and personally. As an Attendance Officer, you will take a proactive role in monitoring student progress, addressing barriers to learning, and fostering a positive school culture.
Key Responsibilities of an Attendance Officer:
Oversee the academic progress, attendance, and well being of a cohort of students
Identify and implement interventions to improve student performance and engagement
Work closely with teaching staff, parents, and external agencies to support student's holistic development
Monitor attendance and behaviour, implementing strategies to address any issues
Support students with their personal, social, and emotional development through pastoral care
Deliver targeted mentoring and coaching sessions to help students set and achieve their goals
Provide regular reports on student progress to senior leadership and parentsThe ideal candidate will have:
A commitment to promoting a positive learning environment and student success
Experience working in a school or educational setting (pastoral, academic support, or similar)
Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to engage students, staff, and parents
The ability to assess and analyse data related to student progress and outcomes
