Where I'd work: Bradford / Hybrid Working (Typically in the office at Bradford 3 x day per week).
Work type: Permanent role, working full time, 37 hours per week, Monday - Friday between a working window of 8:00am-6:00pm.
We have an exciting opportunity for an Alarm Optimisation Specialist to join us in the Central Control Team and be a part of helping us achieve improvements on the quality of alarms and telemetry data that is received within Central Control. Could this be you?

Where you fit in?
You will work within the Central Control team and play a key role in improving the quality of alarms and telemetry data that is received within Central Control, providing a clear understanding of how assets are performing, enabling effective response through various activities and continuous improvement. You will provide reporting and PEX data into the operational areas for weekly review. You will play a critical link between field operations teams and Central Control by gathering information and knowledge from the experts across the operation and ensuring the sites telemetry alarms are optimised in line with company standards.
You will implement, govern, and improve the standards which dictate how telemetry signals are configured, displayed, and changed, continually working with the wider business to improve the quality of information for each of our Operational sites and transform Operational teams understanding of their site's configuration and operation.
Some key responsibilities include the following:
1. Monitor, investigate and make decisions relating to asset performance from telemetry alarms and SCADA systems to reduce noise and increase value add of alarm call outs.
2. Drive down alarm noise from creation of intelligent and linked alarms.
3. Manage high alarming assets and other key indicators to improve operational performance.
4. Ensure that our Service Level Agreements with the field are met and any performance shortfalls on both sides of the agreement are resolved.
5. Investigate and report all asset optimisation performance shortfalls to the Operational Department and work together to address these.
6. Travel out to sites as required, to support asset understanding and build relationships with operational teams.
What skills & qualifications are we looking for?
1. Strong analytical and fault diagnosis skills and process understanding.
2. Experience of delivering continual improvements.
3. Data Engineering experience and capabilities.
4. Influencing and negotiation skills.
5. Rigorous attention to detail to ensure right first time' performance.
6. Develops and maintains effective internal and external relationships.
7. Proficient In the use of IT, good use of excel and Microsoft office packages is essential.
8. Financial awareness.
