Job Description:
As the Engineer Service Manager you will be responsible for leading, managing, and motivating a team of lone working field-based Fire & Security Engineers and the Operations office, ensuring that all customers are serviced on time and to the highest standards. Your duties will include:
1. Developing strong relationships with customers, focusing on customer service, retention, and growth
2. Managing, motivating, and supporting field engineers directly
3. Distribution and allocation of work, ensuring completion within agreed timescales
4. Monitoring and reporting weekly on key deliverables and KPIs in line with our NSI and BAFE accreditations and business targets
5. Resolving all customer queries promptly, ensuring delivery of the highest standards of service
6. Monitoring materials and equipment, ensuring stock levels are correct
7. Managing fleet ensuring adherence to standards and maintenance schedule
8. Liaising with suppliers to ensure best price practice and stock availability
Person Specification:
1. Proven experience of hands-on direct management of a team of Engineers or similar on a day-to-day basis - ideally gained within the fire protection or security industry
2. Highly driven and motivated with the ability to multi-task daily
3. Attention to detail is a key element of this role
4. People management and motivation of the lone working engineers
5. Strong commercial acumen
6. Clear, effective, and influential communication skills at all levels
7. Must be IT literate with knowledge of Microsoft and experience of using CRM systems
8. Must have a Full UK driving licence
