Expanded is currently recruiting for a Senior Project Planner in Aylesbury
The Expanded Group provides comprehensive capabilities in the early construction phases of major projects, offering end-to-end solutions or bespoke services. Supported by a central technical design and engineering team, we deliver a full range of piling, precast concrete, post-tensioning, and structural techniques.
What will the role look like?
1. Ensure all programmes comply with project requirements and develop logical sequences of events, adopting the most economical and advantageous construction strategies.
2. Participate in Pre-Contract planning and Work Winning processes to produce bid programmes and related time-sensitive information as part of tender bids.
3. Analyze performance, advise the project team on impacts, and recommend improvements.
4. Contribute to assessing risks, opportunities, and commercial implications of tender bids.
5. Present time-related data effectively using various techniques, ensuring high-quality submissions and presentations.
6. Develop processes and systems to manage contracts for complex projects independently.
7. Conduct forensic analysis of programme data and collaborate with client teams to build effective relationships.
8. Apply comprehensive knowledge of different contract types to align control measures with contract risks and optimize commercial opportunities.
9. Develop and implement advanced project management techniques for complex projects within Laing O'Rourke.
What skills & experience are we looking for?
1. Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
2. CIOB Membership.
3. Proficiency in modelling and 4D planning, with experience in Asta or P6, preferably both at a high standard.
4. Ability to analyze, collate, and utilize data for reporting and forecasting.
5. Skill in prioritizing tasks based on urgency and importance, with attention to accuracy.
6. Lateral thinking skills to identify trends and issues in production data.
