Job Title: SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant Location: Horwich, Greater Manchester, North West England Job Type: Temporary, Full-Time hours Primary Industry: Education and Training Salary: £12.90 - £13.50 Per hour Job Duties: The SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant will be responsible for providing one-on-one support to students with Special Educational Needs. Duties include assisting students in their learning activities, implementing individual education plans, helping with personal care tasks, and supporting the class teacher in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment. Required Qualifications: - Relevant experience working with children with Special Educational Needs - Good understanding of SEN practises and strategies - Strong communication and interpersonal skills Education: Minimum of a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent Experience: Prior experience working with SEN students in an educational setting Knowledge and Skills: - Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs - Knowledge of safeguarding procedures - Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills Preferred Qualifications: - Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or higher - Additional training in specific areas of SEN support Working Conditions: This role involves working within a school setting, supporting students with various special educational needs. The successful candidate may need to assist with personal care tasks and work closely with the class teacher and other support staff.
