Job summary Registered Nurses/ Allied Health Professionals This post is part of the growing Research Delivery team based at the Royal Gwent Hospital, Newport. The post holder will be responsible for the set-up and delivery of studies, working as part of a multi-professional team. The post will have a strong focus on our established Rheumatology research portfolio, supported by an experienced Senior Nurse. This is an excellent opportunity for a nurse/AHP to develop their career in a committed, collaborative and supportive team. Personal and professional development is a priority and you should expect a range of training and development opportunities. We are especially keen to hear from applicants with experience of Rheumatology and/ or clinical research, however full training will be provided. The Research Officer role is suitable for experienced Clinical Research Practitioners and Registered Allied Health Professionals. Main duties of the job This post is fixed term/secondment for 12 months to meet the needs of the service. If you are interested in applying for the secondment position, you must obtain permission from your current line manager prior to applying for this post. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying patients suitable for clinical trials, providing patient information, informed consent, patient monitoring and accurate data collection whilst adhering to relevant legislation and national frameworks, supported by the research specialist nurses. This post will be based between the Royal Gwent Hospital and The Grange University Hospital. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
