The Role
This post offers an exciting opportunity to enter into the leisure industry.
Award-winning Salt Ayre Leisure Centre has the latest in fitness and training equipment, an indoor adventure play area, and indoor and outdoor climbing facilities. Not to mention an immersive spinning studio and dedicated training zone.
In your role, you will be responsible, as part of a team, for maintaining the smooth running of the state-of-the-art Leisure Centre. You will be dedicated to delivering an excellent customer experience for all our established and new customers. Supervising the swimming pool and flume, setting up and cleaning equipment for a wide range of sporting activities will be some of your day-to-day duties.
You will be the face of the Leisure Centre, and it is a great opportunity to be part of an enthusiastic, passionate, and vibrant team. You will be confident and outgoing, as your duties will include organising school holiday events and children’s birthday parties. You will also be expected to work in other areas of the leisure centre after appropriate training.
This is a casual post, so hours of work will be offered as and when they become available. You will be offered work/shifts based around the centre opening times: 6:00 am to 11:00 pm Monday to Friday and 8:00 am to 8:00 pm at weekends. This post is based at Salt Ayre Leisure Centre.
A National Pool Lifeguard Qualification is essential for this post.
Excellent swimming ability will be required for this post. At the interview stage, you will be required to carry out a pool test, so you will need to be able to swim.
The ability to achieve an enhanced clearance with the Disclosure and Barring Service is essential.
