Do you want to contribute to the important work of our crime solicitors?
Watson Woodhouse are looking to recruit a skilled and motivated Crime Secretary that will join our dynamic team. As a Crime Secretary, you will play a crucial role in supporting our solicitors in their criminal cases and legal proceedings; additionally, you will be required to provide regular reception cover.
Responsibilities
1. Assist in the management of case files, including organising and maintaining documentation, evidence, and relevant records.
2. Coordinate appointments, meetings, and court hearings for our Solicitors.
3. Prepare and draft legal documents, reports, and correspondence.
4. Maintain communication with relevant parties.
5. Handle confidential and sensitive information with the utmost discretion and maintain data integrity.
6. Provide administrative support, including managing calendars and handling incoming/outgoing correspondence whilst maintaining electronic filing systems.
Requirements
1. Previous experience as a secretary or an administrative assistant in a legal setting is preferred.
2. Strong organisational skills and a keen eye for detail as you will manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
3. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with diverse individuals.
4. Knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and confidentiality requirements would be advantageous.
5. Ability to work alone or as part of a team.
