Data Analyst – Banking (6 Month Contract)
Rates: Up to £300 per day (Inside IR35)
Location: Hybrid – 1 day per week in Central London
We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst for a 6-month contract with a leading banking client. This role will be integral to supporting large-scale data migration and transfer projects, ensuring compliance with data governance standards and preventing data leaks during the transition between vendors.
The ideal candidate will be highly analytical, experienced in engaging with business stakeholders, and have a strong background in data governance, particularly in projects involving international data transfers and privacy regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead assessments and identification of high-risk data processing activities
Conduct international data transfer risk assessments and privacy impact assessments
Evaluate and recommend data privacy controls, ensuring compliance with industry standards
Collaborate with business stakeholders to define data privacy roles and responsibilities
Ensure rigorous data governance practices are followed to mitigate risks during data migration
Essential Skills & Experience:
Proven experience in data migration and transfer projects within financial services
Strong knowledge of data governance frameworks and data privacy regulations
Experience with international data transfer and associated risk assessments
Expertise in conducting Data Privacy Impact Assessments (DPIAs)
Excellent communication skills for working with stakeholders across different business units
This is a hybrid role, with the flexibility to work remotely, with occasional attendance required in Central London (1 day per week).
