Job summary We are a large GP Practice based in the Bodmin Area, providing healthcare for our 24,000 patients. This role is to join our friendly and skilled nursing team to provide bloods and other related services for our patients. We are looking for between 22.5 and 37.5 hours weekly, with shifts between 8.30 to 6pm daily - shift patterns can vary. Main duties of the job If you are a phlebotomist your main role will be taking bloods for patients with long term conditions or at times bloods required for out patient appointments. In addition to this we will provide in-house training for 24 hour BP and ECG recording and potentially BP checks are part of a more varied role. Preparing and maintaining environments and equipment before, during and after patient care interventions including assisting GPs during the performance of minor operations Assisting in the assessment and surveillance of patients health and well-being Undertaking specific clinical activities for named patients that have been delegated and taught specifically in relation to that individual. About us We are a GP Practice with a large MDT team based in the heart of Cornwall. We have a fully staffed nursing team, with a full skill mix who manage our long term conditions.
