Your new role
As a Procurement Officer, you will be instrumental in sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and managing supplier relationships to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services. Your role will be pivotal in supporting the needs of the business through strategic procurement activities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimise sourcing and supplier selection.
* Conduct supplier evaluations, negotiate terms, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
* Liaise with various departments to align procurement with business needs.
* Manage supplier relationships and performance, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
* Analyse costs, monitor supplier performance data, and oversee inventory levels.
* Handle Brexit customs paperwork and ensure adherence to purchasing policies.
* Stay informed on market trends and regulatory requirements to guide procurement decisions.
What you'll need to succeed
* Minimum of 2 years’ experience in procurement or a supply chain role.
* Proficient in negotiation, contract management, and procurement software.
* Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
* Flexibility and willingness to adapt to business needs.
* Strong organisational and time management abilities.
