A long-established Travel Tour Operator based in Cambridge is looking for a Marketing Executive to work in their office full time. This role is to manage the day-to-day marketing activities of the organisation both online and offline along with the long-term marketing strategy of the company.
DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION:
PURPOSE: To manage the day-to-day marketing activities of the organisation both online and offline along with the long-term marketing strategy of the company.
Assist with the development of the marketing function across all channels, making recommendations for improving processes and results. Take appropriate action to eliminate/minimise company exposure (financial and/or reputation) in any situation.
* Responsible for the marketing of company products and services to the right market whether B2B or B2C.
* Demonstrate technical marketing skills and company product knowledge.
* Develop an annual marketing plan in conjunction with the sales department. This should detail the year's activity to meet agreed company objectives.
* Budget management. To deliver all marketing activity within the agreed budget.
* Assist with all aspects of print production, receipt and distribution.
* Achieve frequent, timely and positive media coverage across all available media.
* Manage the entire product line life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities.
* Manage online campaigns to raise brand awareness.
* Improve the usability, design, content and conversion of the company website.
* HTML animation and email design.
* CMS day-to-day management.
* Monitor and report on the effectiveness of marketing communications.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
* Travel industry marketing experience is desirable but not essential.
* Ideally educated to degree level or have equivalent relevant industry experience.
* Strong analytical and project management skills.
* Good awareness of the Tour Operating environment and the travel industry in general.
* Ability to work under pressure and within time constraints.
* Excellent communication, influencing, negotiating and presentation skills.
* Strong creative outlook.
* Confident and dynamic personality.
* Experience managing PPC, SEO and Affiliate programmes.
* Strong understanding of current online marketing concepts, strategy and best practice.
* Experience in ecommerce SEO, PPC, email marketing and social media.
* Previous experience in a similar digital marketing role.
THE PACKAGE:
THIS IS A FULLY OFFICE BASED ROLE. They will pay a competitive salary OF £30k-£34k dependent on experience. They also offer other benefits including discounted travel and company pension.
