The University of St Andrews is seeking to appoint a Development Database Assistant to provide database support and assistance for the University’s fundraising, alumni, and supporter engagement activities. This is an exciting time to join the Development team with the launch of the ambitious £300M fundraising campaign - Making Waves: The Campaign for St Andrews.
The role holder will be responsible for providing database support and assistance for the Development function, with a focus on integrating and streamlining fundraising, alumni, and events activities through increased and more effective use of the Development Database. The role holder will have responsibility for certain clearly defined and self-contained data entry and record management duties as well as undertaking ad hoc database related tasks as required.
The role will also involve the preparation and running of data queries and imports/exports to/from the Development database to support fundraising appeals, alumni and supporter mailings, event invitations, and other activities.
The role holder will be part of the Development Services team and will collaborate closely with team members across the Development Unit, along with other members of university staff, donors, and volunteers.
This role would be of interest to an individual who is seeking to develop a career in relational databases, particularly within the charitable or membership organisation sectors. The role holder should possess broad IT knowledge and data entry experience. The successful candidate must be able to work within a strict set of procedures to ensure data consistency and coherence.
