Our client is a large independent training provider, based in Blackburn, Lancashire and is owned by the University of Central Lancashire. They have a heritage of over 50 years in Lancashire, delivering learning and development solutions and pride ourselves on delivery excellence in learning and creating outstanding talent.
They are looking for someone to join a welcoming and supportive Senior Management Team who share a compelling vision for the future whilst functioning cohesively as a unit.
The successful individual will need to ensure and support strong financial governance of the business through the application of robust internal controls and the provision of high-quality financial information, advice and guidance. You will play a critical role in helping build financial understanding across the business whilst developing and maintaining positive working relationships both internally and externally including with colleagues at the University.
Requirements
- Fully qualified CCAB, CIMA or equivalent
- At least five years' post-qualified experience working within a corporate or SME finance environment
- Experience of preparation and presentation of finance reports to non-finance managers
- Experience meeting regular reporting deadlines
- Experience preparing financial statements for publication and coordinating external audit activity
- Managerial experience at middle or senior level
