About the role: Teaching and Learning Development Specialist At Activate Learning, we are committed to supporting the growth and development of our staff. We are looking to appoint a part-time Teaching and Development Specialist to design, facilitate, implement, and evaluate comprehensive learning and development programs for our teaching and learner-facing staff. In alignment with our L&D strategy and Learning Philosophy, the successful candidate will collaborate with stakeholders to identify training needs, develop innovative learning solutions, and foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development. Working with the Teaching and Learning Development Manager you will deliver teacher development workshops that showcase diverse, effective teaching and assessment strategies and equip teachers and learning professionals with skills linked to our Learning Philosophy and learning cycle, inspiring outstanding practice through coaching and role modelling high-impact teaching and learning strategies. This is a part time role working 18.5 hours per week (FTE 0.50) and can be based at any of our campuses in Oxfordshire, Berkshire or Surrey with some travel between our campuses. This role is a business support role and will include membership of the Local Government pension scheme. Closing date for applications: 12 January 2025. What do you need to be a successful Teaching and Learning Development Specialist at Activate Learning? You will be a qualified teacher with proven experience in developing teaching skills for others and a track record of delivering high-quality learning experiences. Your own commitment to ongoing personal professional development (CPD) will reflect your deep enthusiasm and passion for learning and developing others. You will be confident with using a wide range of tools to enable the best learning experience for our learners and model the use of a diverse range of teaching, learning and assessment strategies effectively. Your energy, enthusiasm and passion will foster strong internal stakeholder relationships, and you will be confident to actively engage with leaders and employees to identify training needs and contribute to the design and development of the teacher skills development programme and measure the impact of the programme. You will be an excellent communicator with excellent digital skills, comfortable with presenting and facilitating to a range of stakeholders and able to articulate the impact and value add of teaching, learning and assessment development initiatives. Strong organisational skills will allow you to manage multiple streams of activity with varying priorities.
