GENERAL FUNCTION
Perform a variety of troubleshooting, repair and preventative maintenance duties required to maintain all production equipment in serviceable and efficient operating condition.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Communicate with Autotechs and operators on previous shift and discuss problems and concerns. Locate and diagnose complex equipment problems and ensure timely corrective action. Inform supervisor of need for major repairs.
2. Calibrate and adjust equipment as required or scheduled.
3. Develop predictive maintenance procedures to maximize replacement component life without compromise to equipment efficiency and performance.
4. Knowledge of various automation components such as pneumatics, electronics, sensors and switches.
5. Able to read and understand electrical and pneumatic schematics.
6. Examine work orders and converse with equipment operators to detect equipment problems and to ascertain whether mechanical or human errors contributed to the problem.
7. Set up and test equipment to ensure that it functions properly. In addition, operate equipment to demonstrate proper use and to analyze malfunctions.
8. Maintain equipment logs that record performance problems, repairs, calibrations and tests.
9. Calibrate testing instruments and installed or repaired equipment to prescribed specifications.
10. Consult with customers, supervisor, and engineers to resolve problems in system operation and maintenance.
11. Advise supervisor regarding customer satisfaction, product performance, and suggestions for product improvements.
12. Maintain equipment in compliance with National Electric Code (NEC) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations.
13. Have operational knowledge of the process in the three major areas: Utilities, Processing, and Packaging.
14. Participate as a team member, understand, and apply LEAN principles used in the facility's continuous improvement initiatives.
15. Support the actions necessary to align team with daily maintenance and repair production goals.
16. Revise and create ISO related documents (SOPs, work instructions, POIs, MFGs, MCNs, JSA's etc.).
17. Assist team in understanding real-time data provided through visual production data systems.
18. Reference appropriate documents when required such as MSDS documents, system level SOPs, company policies and Policy Manual, and ISTM documents.
19. Consult with Lead Autotech and Sr. Autotech to plan layout of equipment and to resolve problems in system operation and maintenance.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
1. High School Diploma or GED required
2. Education equivalent to an accredited apprenticeship in electrical/electronics, certification in electrical/electronic or 3 to 4 years' experience in electrical/electronics.
3. Knowledge of various control system platforms such as PLC, Fanuc, Siemens, DCS, Wonderware, Intellution.
4. Strong technical competencies in electro-mechanical and automation skills.
5. Good working knowledge of CMMS, Preventative maintenance software.
6. Knowledge of Building maintenance software and (TMS) Training and document control database.
7. CI tools and programs/basic knowledge of adult learning theory OEE and TPM tools.
8. Familiar with Rockwell Automation's SLC and Control Logix processors using RSLogix 500 and RSLogix 5000.
9. A strong working knowledge of using various programming and diagnostic software packages to configure and troubleshoot.
10. Knowledge of Hazardous Waste Contingency Plan.

1. Prior leadership experience preferred.
