Theyhave launched a high bandwidth, active system, which redefines ridecomfort, handling, and stability. Integrating hydraulics with advancedcontrols software to create a blend of hardware and software.
They are now taking orders for production, withsome landmark partnerships recently announced in the press, they arestarting to take shape as a successful and expanding SME withambitious plans to continue its success.
TheControl Engineer will be a key part of their growth, leading thedevelopment of production grade actuators, to meet manufacturingrequirements ready to deploy into production. You will be a trueexpert within Control Engineering, working on projects fromrequirements, to design, to development and test, using simulation andalgorithms to meet those needs.
* Leadthe development of production grade actuator calibration routines tomeet the manufacturing requirements of the actuator product and deployinto the manufacturing line
* Lead the development of real-timediagnostic algorithms actuator product to ensure a robust and safeproduct
* Use DFMEA, simulation, and experimentation to createfault test cases and develop real-time fault detection algorithms toidentify the failure modes
* Maintain current codebase for theactuator product and develop new features.
* Support thedevelopment of safety critical control algorithms to meet therequirements defined by the Systems team
* Support thein-vehicle, rapid prototype controller development activities forinternal and customer projects
* Define and manage controlsystem requirements and test cases
* Support the control systemverification, including MiL unit and integration testing and HiLtesting according to the ASPICE process
* Support controllerarchitecture and algorithm design reviews
* Conduct root-causeinvestigations, data processing and analysis of results fromsimulations and vehicle testing
* Work cross functionally withthe Systems, Software and Electric Motor Module teams
* Communicate successfully to engineers from different domainswith different experience levels
What WeWant From You – Controls Engineer
* Bachelor’s degree in either Systems, Electrical,Mechanical, or Control Systems engineering
* Experience incontrol algorithm development and dynamics
* Engineeringbackground in control theory and signal processing: linear systemanalysis, frequency response, optimal control techniques, stateestimation, and digital signal processing
* Understanding ofsystem dynamics
* MiL (Model-in-Loop) and HiL(Hardware-in-Loop) testing experience
* Experience withalgorithm development using MATLAB and Simulink
* StrongCollaboration and communication Skills
* Excellentorganisational and time management skills
* Energetic,self-motivated team player who excels in developing solutions forcomplex systems
