Are you an experienced Quality Engineer looking to advance your career in a dynamic and fast-paced environment? Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join their team. Reporting directly to the Quality Assurance Manager, this role plays a pivotal part in maintaining and enhancing the company’s quality management systems while supporting day-to-day quality operations and customer service. In this role, you will: Ensure compliance with the company’s Quality Policy and Objectives. Monitor and address customer and internal concerns, collaborating with production teams to prevent recurrence. Utilise problem-solving methodologies, including the 8D process, to resolve quality issues. Conduct and report on audits in line with system schedules. Liaise with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to resolve technical and supply issues. Support the development and implementation of quality management systems and procedures. Lead quality-focused initiatives across multiple sites. Your daily responsibilities will include: Training and communicating with staff about Quality Management Systems. Maintaining performance measurements (KPIs) and quality records. Investigating and analyzing internal and customer concerns to identify root causes and implement corrective actions. Producing documentation for new or modified product introductions. Conducting internal and process audits to ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949:2016 standards. Leading team-based problem-solving and improvement activities. Supporting New Product Introductions and general inspection activities. Qualifications and Skills: At least 3 years of experience in a Quality Engineering role within a fast-paced environment. Strong knowledge of core quality tools such as SPC, MSA, FMEA, PPAP, AQP, and 8D. Experience developing and maintaining Control Plans and FMEAs. Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949:2016 standards; auditing experience and lead auditing certifications are advantageous. Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Hours of work: 8am-4pm Monday to Friday Salary: £30,000-£40,000 depending on experience.
