This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Band 7 Nurse to lead the Trauma and Orthopaedic ward D8 Nursing Team.
You will provide visible professional leadership to the ward Nursing team whilst cultivating a culture of high quality patient care, improving safety and learning across the ward .
We are looking for a highly motivated leader who has a strong dedication to providing specialised nursing care to patients with musculoskeletal injuries or conditions, focusing on helping them regain mobility and manage pain through post-operative care, rehabilitation support, and pain management strategies, whilst finding deep satisfaction in witnessing their recovery journey.
You will be a champion for quality improvement in the clinical area, having a responsibility for compliance for the ward D8 key performance indicators.
Being part of a collaborative approach to Multidisciplinary team working is a vital component to being a leader here in CUH.
You will be responsible for the delivery of excellent local & specialist services to improve the health and well- being of our patients in a compassionate way and provide a respectful and vibrant place for staff to develop and progress .

Main duties of the job
To lead, develop and co-ordinate a multidisciplinary team to ensure an optimum level of safe and effective patient care within budgetary resources
To assess care needs, to develop, to implement and evaluate programmes of care
To be responsible for all aspects of staff management and recruitment in line with HR policy
To participate in a full range of shifts, including Trust and Unit bleep holder rotas, ensuring a visible presence in the ward area
To be responsible for all aspects of clinical governance and risk management within the ward area
