A role has become available for a Senior Support Worker to join our experienced Community Nursing Team in North Manchester.
You will demonstrate enthusiasm and be highly motivated. You should be qualified with a relevant NVQ level 3 with excellent communication skills to join our friendly and dynamic Manchester Community Nursing Service to provide high quality and personalized nursing & therapy care to patients in their own homes.
We will support you with specialist and bespoke training to reach your potential and excel in your chosen career path. You will receive one-to-one clinical support, professional development, and guidance.
The Community Nursing Team is a seven-day service working between the hours of 8.30am-4.30pm on a rota basis. We promote flexibility and are happy to support different working patterns within the needs of the service.
You will undertake the role of caring for a group of patients through indirect and direct supervision by a registered nurse to aid in the deliverance of all aspects of care in a safe and timely manner in a clinic setting or in a patient’s own home.
Acting as a role model providing guidance and support to Trainee and Band 2 Nursing Assistants as required, helping to ensure the efficient and effective running of the service at all times.
Independently plan and undertake tasks and workload activities in both clinic settings and patient’s own homes whilst ensuring that their practice is guided by standard operating procedures and established protocols. You will demonstrate self-directed development, recognizing your own limitations, and work within the scope of your role at all times.
Prioritize your own workload and be responsible for planned care and tasks delegated from a registered nurse.
Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and legibly at the point of care delivery and any necessary escalation is undertaken to a registered nurse to ensure patient safety is maintained.
A full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle is required for this role as you will be travelling across the Trust footprint.
