Overview Reporting to the Quality Manager, we are seeking determined and committed individuals who can work as part of our Food Safety & Quality team in our Primary Factory (Boning and Slaughter Halls). This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated individual who possesses a strong interest and desire to work and develop their career within the food manufacturing sector. Responsibilities The Role: Completion and documentation of all relevant checks in relation to food safety, quality, legality, good manufacturing practice, good hygiene practice and customer specification. Reporting exceptions to Management and initiating corrective action when required. Conducting product sampling and testing as required. Striving for total customer satisfaction. Qualifications Essential: Demonstrable ability to carry out checks, and reference information for accuracy and details; Ability to demonstrate strong numeracy skills; Ability to demonstrate IT proficiency; Excellent communication skills; Ability to work to tight production deadlines; High level of motivation. Desirable: Minimum of six months previous experience in a quality assurance or food production environment (although not necessary, as full training will be provided); GCSE Maths and English at grade C and above or equivalent Ability to demonstrate a basic understanding of HACCP principles and pre-requisite programs; Possess a higher level qualification in food technology or related discipline.
