A vacancy has arisen for a Management Accounts Assistant, to join our finance team.
The Management Accounts Assistant exists to provide support to the Head of Finance and the Management Accountants on all day to day and month end tasks.
The role briefly encompasses the following duties: -
Management accounts production for allocated contracts.
Liaising with site teams and operational managers to gather information relevant to the reporting function.
Monthly meetings with operational leaders to provide them with figures and detail of how their work areas are performing against budgeted expectations.
Support with the delivery of high-quality regular reporting, analysis and insights to business, forecasts, budgets and business plans with no surprises.
Assistance with reconciliation of Balance Sheet accounts.
Posting of centrally controlled costs (ie Fuel, EE, Recharges, Travel).
Raising of Sales Invoices in a timely manner.
Support the team in providing data analysis required through the annual statutory audit.
Other ad-hoc duties specified by Head of Finance.
Key commercial impact. Accurate and timely reporting along with financial analysis and commercial awareness to contribute to effective operational decision-making.
Helping top drive continuous improvement through system processes and management information across the finance function.
Maintaining Group reporting deadlines and ensuring that intra group accounting dates are met.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills/experience/ attributes:-
Previous experience within a management accounts assistant role.
Working towards a recognised accounting qualification (AAT or Chartered).
Strong IT knowledge, especially Excel and accounting systems.
Attention to detail
Financial awareness
The ability to build relationships through effective communication.
A quick learner with the ability to retain and implement information and deliver the required outputs.
