Job summary We have a fabulous opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced Physiotherapist to join the mental health physiotherapy team for Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. Our community teams aim to improve the quality of life of those experiencing a mental health crisis, in relation to their diagnosis of dementia, depression, anxiety or other mental health problems. We are a team made up of experienced Physiotherapists and assistants. We work closely with various MDTs, such as Nurses, Specialist Support Workers, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists and Psychiatrists. We promote non-pharmacological interventions wherever possible and have a holistic approach to patient care. This is an ideal environment for an innovative Physiotherapist to utilise their therapy-based assessment and care planning skills. Work with involve seeing people on wards and also in their own homes. There will be a focus on promoting independence, rehabilitation and also supporting carers.
